I love God’s Word and this Bible timeline has been very useful in my own teaching and personal study. When I first put it all together, I did not imagine that I would be supplying it to people all over the world.

This last couple of years has been very difficult and by way of personal testimony, through the heartaches, the anxiety, the financial insecurity, God has carried me so beautifully. I have expressed it to many friends by likening it to the ‘Footprints In The Sand’poetry. I have felt the hands of the Father lift and carry me in a special way. Indeed He has not forsaken me and even though the overall situation has ended in the way I so dearly wanted, I am at peace with God and feel very privileged to be a son of the Father. I can but worship Him with all my heart and petition that I may remain faithful to the very end. Never taking my eyes off Him.

When I think about how how God has lead and worked with His people right through the Bible for thousands of years; through Church history for two thousand years, I am humbled that He would stoop to notice and work with me also. It is truly all about Christ Jesus and when we stand in glory, the reality of that will cause so many of us to say Oh, if only I had truly forsaken all meaningless things to serve Him more fully.”

How wonderful you are precious Lord, show me Your ways, that I might be like You.

Before 1054, Roman Catholicism and the Eastern Orthodox churches were just mere branches of the One Apostolic Church. Yet even so, for a long span of time, division of these two factions of Christendom had been pervasive, which gradually increased. The rift had caused a widespread schism, which primarily traces its roots from their differences in culture, religion and politics. In that fateful year, 1054 AD, an official split had occured when Roman Catholicism’s leader, Pope Leo IX, had excommunicated Constantinople’s Patriarch, Michael Cerularious, who had condemned the pope to return the favor, which resulted to mutual excommunication. Because of this, the church had remained in division and are separate even up to present. Constantinople’s Patriarch, Michael Cerularius, had assumed office from 1043-1058 AD, which had spanned the time when Eastern Orthodoxy had seperated itself formally from Roman Catholicism. He had played a key role in propagating the circumstances which eventually led to the Great Schism between the two Churches. During the era of the Crusades in 1095 AD, Rome had allied themselves with Constantinople which would protect the Holy land from the Turks, which had provided a small spark, heralding the slim possibility of reuniting the two opposing factions. Yet, in the year 1204, which marked the Fourth Crusade’s end, which caused the Romans’ Sacking of the Constantinople city, that small ray had been extinguished as the hostility between the two factions had continued to become worse. Up to the present era, the Roman Catholics in the West and the Orthodox Church in the East had remained determinedly divided and autonomous, unwilling to reconcile. However, in the year 1965, The Patriarch Athenagoras and Pope Paul the Sixth had agreed to rescind their excommunication to each other from 1054 officially, which, in the hindsight, is but a first step for peace.

When God asks for something, we must believe in Him because he will be the one who would provide us the means to do it even if it appears to be impossibly hard. In this day, if our hearts are surrendered to God, great things will happen. This is the lesson from Moses who live around 1500 BC. It was only in Meribah did Moses became weak, and in his moment of weakness, he refused to just speak on the rock and instead hit it twice with his staff, defying God’s command. Because of this, God had forbidden him to enter the Promised Land. Moses is one of the most dominant figures ever mentioned in the Old Testament, for the reason that God had chosen him to redeem the Israelites from Egyptian slavery. He had found favor in God’s eyes and had therefore mediated God’s covenant with them. He had fulfilled his duties with zeal, as expected from God’s chosen, and had handed the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai. Moses’s last task was to bring the Israelites to the edge of the Promised Lands, and even if he wasn’t able to enter it, he had fulfilled it nonetheless. Often, Moses had found himself inadequate to complete these tasks of epic proportions, but for every step of the whole process, God had been with him and worked through him. As a human being, Moses had strengths, and of course, weaknesses. Below are some of his strengths and weaknesses and how his life can be applied in this day and age. Despite of great risks of his safety, Moses had obeyed God’s commands. He had obeyed even if he saw that the risks involved were overwhelming. Moses had been steadfast in his faith to God, and God, in turn, had worked tremendous miracles through him. His faith was so great that he had followed God’s orders and believed in Him even when others didn’t. His closeness to God had enabled him to speak to Him everyday.

The Ten Commandments, a set of rules given by God Himself to Israel’s people through the prophet Moses at Mount Sinai after leading them out and liberating them from Egyptian slavery. Essentially, the Ten Commandments are just a summary, the core of the Jewish Law found in the Old Testament, which are recorded in Exodus 20:1-17 and Deutronomy 5:6-21, which offers the basics for spiritual and moral living. The Ten Commandments, when applied in the modern context of living, can be paraphrased and translated to fit the current era yet at the same time adhere to it. I. Never worship any other god other than the one true God. All other gods worshipped by men are false and must be therefore avoided. II. Idols and images of God made by men must be avoided, since these idols are objects that could make you worship it rather than God. It’s not only limited to that, since it could also mean something, like a hobby, that takes all of your time and prevents you from worshipping God can be categorized as an idol. III. Never take the name of God lightly, nor use it for profanity. God’s name is sacred and must be given due respect because of his importance to every aspect of human life. IV. The Sabbath day is more of a loving invitation to slow down, rest, and meditate. It’s only a day in the week, so set the worldly activities you indulge in other days, to pave the way for the worship of God and a break from the tiring riff-raff. V. Treat your parents with uttermost respect and obedience. VI. Deliberately taking another human’s life must never be committed. VII. Sexual relations outside marriage are extremely prohibited. VIII. Stealing another person’s belongings is sinful and must be avoided. IX. Lies that could destroy a fellow person’s reputation or bringing a false accusation to another are not allowed. X. Do not compare your material possession to another persons’, since it will only lead into envy, jealousy, and other various sins. God’s blessings are abundant and you only need to give effort to achieve it.

The Bible timeline merely spans the Old Testament, since the bible being discussed in this article is the Hebrew Bible. It gives a general framework of the bible’s history from the Creation of Mankind up to the reigns of the Kings of Israel and Judah, which goes through the various generations, periods of their reign, and other means. In Genesis, the passages were only indicative of a generation count: For example, a biblical figure had lived for so many years, sired a son, and carried on until his death at a certain age. Adding the ages of each of the generation, it results to the number of years transpired. Later in the bible timeline, the passage of time has been changed into a story-like narration, like in 1 Kings 6:1, where the Temple of Solomon’s building began in the year 480 after the Exodus. The other way of setting time is through the correlation of the Kings of Israel and their time of reign. For example, see 1 Kings 15:25-28. While in the reigns of the Kings of Israel, from 10th to 7th century BC, are in fact historical and can be utilized in histiography, but unfortunately, the attempts of fixing a date of Moses’s Exodus or even much earlier events like Noah and the Flood had been unsuccessful. The dating of the Bible timeline of course starts with the Creation of Adam, in the year 0 Anno Mundi, and 930 years later, in his death, is considered year 930 Anno Mundi. In the Jewish Calendar, the 5 days before Adam’s creation was considered to be the first year, and Adam was created on the first day of the second year. The Bible timeline is also divided by blocks of numbers which in fact is significant to its authors, like 7, 12 and 40. Other, but not as significant, numbers include 100, 60, 20, and 10. The main events of the Bible timeline are: the Creation of Adam (in the year 0 AM), Abraham’s Birth and calling, the Exodus from Egypt, the Temple of Solomon’s construction, the return of the Jews to Israel, and finally the Temple’s rededication under the Maccabees.

Website Terms Of Use Wow! You actually came to this page. Our lawyers made us include it and made us use a precious link on our home page to get you here. At first, we thought the lawyers were a real pain. But then we read the page. It’s really important stuff. We took the legalese the lawyers wrote and translated it into readable English. So be a smart nethead and read the stuff on this page. Here’s the deal: We run this site so that people like you can use it for personal entertainment, information, education or communication. So go ahead and browse around all you like. You can even download stuff from the site but only for non-commercial, personal use. If you do, though, don’t fool around with the copyright and other notices all over the stuff. They’re there for a really good reason. And don’t even think about distributing, modifying, transmitting, reusing, re-posting, or anything else uncool with any of the stuff, including the text, images, audio, and video, for public purposes unless we give you written permission. If you visit our site, you’re also legally obligated to [read: stuck with] the terms and conditions listed below and any other law or regulation that applies to the site, the Internet, the World Wide Web, or Los Angeles, CA. You shouldn’t access or browse the site if you have any problem with that, because once you start, there’s no turning back — you are bound by the terms and conditions. So here’s the scoop on our Top Ten Rules for Cybersurfers who hang out on our site: 1. For everyone’s sake, just assume that everything on the site is copyrighted unless we say it’s not. So you can’t use the stuff except how we say you can on this page or anywhere else on the site without our written permission. And like we said before, it’s not likely we’ll give you permission anyway. In fact, even if we wanted to, the lawyers are likely to veto any deal anyway. So it’s better you don’t even ask. 2. While we try to include accurate stuff on the site, we’re not promising you it’s accurate. So if you use stuff on the site, you’re using it at your own risk. 3. We and anybody else who helped us create, produce, or deliver the site are not liable for any damages you suffer when you use it. In particular, the lawyers want you to know that our disclaimer includes “direct, incidental, consequential, indirect, or punitive damages arising out of your access to, or use of, the site. Without limiting the foregoing, everything on the site is provided to you ‘AS IS’ WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON INFRINGEMENT. Please note that some jurisdictions may not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you. Check your local laws for any restrictions or limitations regarding the exclusion of implied warranties. Here’s the bottom line — we’re not responsible if you’re browsing around and the site damages you or your computer or infects it with any nasty viruses. We sure hope that doesn’t happen. 4. If you don’t want the world to know something, don’t post in on the site in any bulletin board or anyplace else. That’s because anything you disclose to us is ours. That’s right — ours. So we can do anything we want with the stuff you post. We can reproduce it, disclose it, transmit it, publish it, broadcast it, and post it someplace else. We can even send it to your mother (as soon as we find her address). Not only that, we can even use any ideas, concepts, know-how, or techniques you post any way we want to, including, developing, manufacturing and marketing products or other stuff using the information you post. 5. Pictures of people or places shown on the site are either our property or someone else’s property we’re using with their permission. No matter what, it’s definitely not your property. You or any of your net-friends can’t use it unless we said you could on this page or somewhere else on the site. And guess what — we won’t say yes. So be careful, because unauthorized use may violate all sorts of nasty laws. Be smart, keep the stuff you download to yourself. 6. There’s also a lot of trademarks, logos, and service marks on the site that either we own or we’re using with someone else’s permission. So don’t think you have any kind of license or right to use them, because you don’t and we’re not about to give you one. 7. You’ll probably notice we’ve linked our site to lots of others. While that’s cool, it doesn’t mean we’ve looked at all those sites, much less checked them out periodically to see what’s going on. So don’t blame us if some site you link to is bad or has stuff on it that offends you or your pets. Go ahead and link, but remember, you’re doing it at your risk. 8. That brings us to what you do on our own site. While we occasionally listen in on chat groups, or look at the posting in our discussion groups or on our bulletin boards, we take no responsibility and assume no liability for the content of those locations or for any mistakes, defamation, libel, slander, omissions, falsehoods, obscenity, pornography, or profanity you might encounter when you visit such places on our site. And don’t be stupid by posting or transmitting any unlawful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic, nasty, mean, or profane material or any material that law enforcement types may consider a criminal offense, get someone in court on a civil lawsuit, or for that matter violate any law — anywhere, anytime. While we certainly respect your privacy, we have no choice but to fully cooperate with any law enforcement authorities or court which might ask us who might have posted nasty stuff on our site. 9. Software that we use on this Site is protected by all sorts of patriotic U.S. laws. Because of that, you can’t download or send the software to anyone in the vacation travel spots of Cuba, Iraq, Libya, North Korea, Iran, Syria, or any other country where United States has embargoed goods; or (get this) to anyone on the United States Treasury Department’s list of Specially Designated Nationals, the U.S. Commerce Department’s Table of Deny Orders. 10. We’re also allowed to change this page and anything else on the site any time we want to. If we do change the page, then you’re bound by those changes, too, whenever you visit our site. 11. If either of us wants to make something of it and wants to “sue” then we have to follow these rules of engagement. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to principles of conflict of laws. To the extent you have in any manner violated or threatened to violate http://bibletimelinechronology.com/ and/or its affiliates’ intellectual property rights, http://bibletimelinechronology.com/ and/or its affiliates may seek injunctive or other appropriate relief in any state or federal court in the State of California, and you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in such courts. Any other disputes will be resolved as follows: If a dispute arises under this agreement, we agree to first try to resolve it with the help of a mutually agreed-upon mediator in the following location: California. Any costs and fees other than attorney fees associated with the mediation will be shared equally by each of us. If it proves impossible to arrive at a mutually satisfactory solution through mediation, we agree to submit the dispute to binding arbitration at the following location: California, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Judgment upon the award rendered by the arbitration may be entered in any court with jurisdiction to do so.

Each Web site can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser’s preferences allow it, but (to protect your privacy) your browser only permits a Web site to access the cookies it has already sent to you, not the cookies sent to you by other sites. Browsers are usually set to accept cookies. However, if you would prefer not to receive cookies, you may alter the configuration of your browser to refuse cookies.
